Guam Contracts

Guam economy depends mainly on US military spending and on revenue generated by the tourism industry. Over the past 30 years, the tourist industry grew rapidly, creating a construction boom for new hotels, golf courses and other tourist amenities. More than one million tourists visit Guam each year. The principal import of Guam includes food and industrial goods. Guam’s export consists of fishes and handicrafts. The Guam economy continues to experience expansion in both its tourism and military sectors.
