United States : GSA seeks proposal for 3rd-Gen Leasing Support Services contract

The General Services Administration seeks proposals for the third generation of the GSA Leasing Support Services contract, which deals in provision of the agency’s contracting officers with support for broker and leasing activity. May 21 is the last date to receive responses to the RFP.
According to GSA, the request for proposals comprises of revisions to the components of strategic planning services, commission agreements, small business participation along with training depending upon feedback to the draft solicitation released in November.
Chris Wisner, assistant commissioner for leasing at GSA, said, “In addition to previous improvements made to GLS, contractors will now have even more flexibility when it comes to providing strategic planning services and commission agreements will be structured in accordance with normal broker industry practices”.
Wisner adds, “Small businesses will also have more opportunities to compete for prime awards.” The services include market surveys, site visits as well as preparation of documents to help tenant agencies generate estimated rent credits of $100 million and streamline the lease cycle, GSA said.
