BRAZIL offers 269 onshore and offshore blocks

In its first round since rival country Mexico started welcoming upstream investment, Brazil will offer 269 onshore and offshore blocks during its 13th licensing round.
Speaking at an offshore conference in Houston, Energy and Mines Minister Eduardo Braga said the blocks exist in a mix of mature, new frontier and high prospects basins.
ANP, the regulator will receive bids on 15th October.
The minister said, "The 13th round will be a good opportunity to enter the country, if you are not already in Brazil. For companies that are already there, it is a good opportunity to increase their participation."
Addressing conference participants, he announced plans to hold a second licensing round for subsalt acreage in the Santos and Campos basins in 2016-17.
