China : TELEFONICA, CHINA UNICOM sell 4G smartphones in Europe

Telefonica in partnership with China Unicom will jointly supply smartphones to customers in Europe, China and Latin America.
The companies device team will be supplying Lenovo and TCL smartphones following the closing of the joint procurement projects for 4G smartphones since the beginning of the year, along with research projects, product specifications and global RFQ negotiations.
Telefonica said, “This important milestone is the first step of future common procurement activities, as we have explored and achieved an innovative way of procurement cooperation between the 2 world-class telecom operators.”
It is estimated that in the 2H of 2015 the models will be available to consumers in Europe, China and Latin America, enabling the Chinese smartphone brands Lenovo and TCL a wider market reach.
