Ukraine : E-procurement helps Defense Ministry save over UAH300M

The electronic procurement system has helped the Defense Ministry of Ukraine save over UAH 300 million.
Speaking to the media, at the Yavoriv training area (Lviv region), Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, said, "The Ministry of Defense was the first ministry which switched to e-procurement. At present, on major points we transferred to e-procurement and already have serious results. Compared to the previous years, the savings exceed UAH 300 million."
The defense minister said his ministry would completely switch to electronic procurement as this "removes human error and reduces corruption risks in holding such tenders."
