United Kingdom : 2 CCG bolster servcies tenders suspended

Minimum 2 procurement processes to authorize bolster facilities for clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) have been suspended. As per HSJ, the tenders have been because of precariousness over who will pay any rest contractual obligations commissioning support units (CSUs), who presently supply the facilities, have with providers if they lose the deal to a non-NHS supplier.

NHS England has informed CCGs to procure bolster facilities by April 2016, when major CSU and CCG service level deals end, and impulsed them to utilize the main supplier framework to do so. The service level deals have to be openly tendered within EU law. The framework comprise of of 9 suppliers,3 of whom are non-NHS providers.

Capita, Optum and a conglomerate that has Mouchel, BDO and Dr Foster are the 3 non-NHS providers. The 2 procurements that are considered to have been stopped are located in the south of England with one stopped prior it was even officially introduced.
