United States : US AIR FORCE selects RAYTHEON to bid for training systems contract

Publish Date : 31-Aug-2015

The US Air Force has appointed Raytheon to bid for a $20.9 billion training Systems Acquisition III (TSA III) contract. Under the contract, Raytheon will bid on delivery orders for over 10 years. It will compete to offer lifecycle management for aircrew, maintenance and systems-specific training systems on a global basis.

Dave Wajsgras, president of Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services, commented "We are more than ready to support the US Air Force to maintain mission readiness when and wherever needed. This is a perfect opportunity for us to build on Raytheon's exemplary record of cost-effective, best-in-class training services."

"As a supplier of training services to the US Army, Raytheon has made investments in systems, facilities and partnerships that have helped save the customer more than $300 million since 2007, "while performing at best-in-class levels of training effectiveness and efficiency." Wajsgras further added.

Raytheon has established the Automated Toolset for Lifecycle Activities and Services Management Information System (ATLAS MIS), a web-based suite of tools, which allows real-time management oversight in the areas of finance, property and training device sustainment.
