Nigeria,Turkey : STERLING BANK gets facility, worth $40 million from Turkey EXIM Bank

A $40 million facility has been procured by Sterling Bank from the Turkey EXIM Bank. Turkey EXIM Bank had granted the facility after the decision of a due diligence on the bank. The bank stated that the facility would be utilized to back trade businesses and projects with Turkish origin.
The members of the Turkish business community in Nigeria as well as Nigerian businessmen and women doing business with Turkish partners would have easy access to finance for their businesses with this development, particularly in the importation of required raw materials and other infrastructure for production that would also serve as a catalyst for economic development in the country.
The principal aim of Turkey EXIM Bank is to boost Turkish exports via diversification of exported goods and services through raising the share of Turkish exporters in international trade, determining new markets for traditional and non-traditional export goods and offering exporters and abroad contractors with support to raise their competitiveness and to assure a risk-free environment in international markets.
