United Kingdom : Rural Energy become authorized vendors on Fusion21 Retrofit framework

Publish Date : 26-Nov-2015

Biomass heating experts Rural Energy have become authorized vendors on the Fusion21 Retrofit framework offering a fast, easy solution for public sector organisations to tender retrofit projects.

A social enterprise, Fusion21, provides procurement service to the public sector. Since it was established in 2002, the enterprise has delivered savings of 125 million to its members and currently has a UK wide membership of more than 180 organisations, covering a vast range of replacement, retrofit and servicing works, including biomass projects.

After concluding a complete two part tender process, during which it had to show its experience and offer example quotes for generic scenarios, Rural Energy has been appointed to the framework and is now among only two biomass experts awarded to the four-year framework.

Open to any organisation that complies with Public Contract Regulations, Fusion21 provides a procurement service that allows users to avoid expensive and time-consuming tendering processes, like those set out by the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).

Paul Clark, Managing Director of Rural Energy, said, "Organising remedial, retrofit or servicing works for public sector organisations can be a bit of a headache with a number of stringent processes that need to be adhered to. The Fusion21 framework however makes things much simpler and were proud to a part of it. Becoming more efficient and environmentally friendly should be made as easy as possible for public sector organisations, so we are happy to support the framework."
