Sweden : ASDA re-equip with Scania in major order for 253 trucks

Scania has completed the delivery of 253 trucks to ASDA after once again being selected as the supermarket retailers preferred truck supplier. ASDA is the second-largest food retailer in the UK with 620 locations.
The trucks are for the companys base, chilled and petroleum distribution fleets, with the base and chilled fleets vehicles entering service in December of last year and the petroleum vehicles following on last month.
The bulk of the order comprises Scania G-series sleeper cab models featuring Scanias 410 horsepower Euro 6 SCR-only engine. All trucks will be maintained by the Scania UK network, which also provides a full service for most of ASDAs trailer fleet.
