Canada : New Glasgow Town affirms Water Treatment Tender worth over $3 million

The Town of New Glasgow sanctioned a recommendation at a meeting to go with the lowest tender for a water treatment plant augmentation thats hoped to expense over $3 million.
L&R Construction Ltd. from Stewiacke will be granted the deal for the work that comprises the inclusion of a new filter system that town engineer Earl MacKenzie said is needed.
MacKenzie said the new system will permit them to always meet the water needs, if any problem emerges.
The work is hoped to be finished within 62 weeks of when the deal is formally granted, but he said theyre expecting to tighten up that timeline.
Council is getting finance for the project by the Building Canada Fund.
