Chile : Total, SunPower secure contract for another 164 MW of solar PV in Chile

SunPower and Total have inked their second large PV deal in Chile in less than a week, this time with Colbun.
The Chilean power firm announced a 15-year deal has beens signed with the two companies for the supply of 500 gigawatt-hours of power per year.
The deal has been secured through a competitive solicitation, in which Total and SunPower beat out at least 13 other firms, which filed over 20 bids in total.
SunPower and Total plan to fulfill their obligations under this contract through the building of a 164 MW solar PV project.
SunPower will be the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor, and will construct the plant using its modular Oasis Power Block product.
