United States : US AFOTEC selects American Systems for fighter test services

A provider of IT solutions, American Systems, has secured a contract worth $85m to continue fighter test services for the US Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC).
Under the five-year deal, the company will provide operational test and assessment services related to fourth and fifth-generation fighter procurement programmes covering a vast range of technical and analytical operational test solutions.
These consolidated test functions for the USAF and other multiservice / multi-country fighter aircraft are comprised of test design, planning, execution, and reporting to senior US Department of Defense (DoD) officials.
President and CEO, American Systems, Peter Smith said: "American Systems is proud to continue to provide operational test support for the largest DoD acquisition programme in history, supporting test planning, execution, and reporting for three US services and nine partner nations that will operate the F-35 Lightning II, as well as the front line USAF Air Superiority Fighter, the F-22A.
