Malaysia,Mexico : SapuraKenana wins contract worth US$113 million from Pemex

SapuraKencana Mexicana, wholly-owned subsidiary of SapuraKencana, has won a contract worth approximately US$113 million from Pemex.

The contract which is a part of Ku-Maloob-Zaap (KMZ) project, off the coast of Campeche, north-east of Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico, includes procurement and construction of a 36in, 18km-long sour gas pipeline (KMZ 76) from platform E-KU-A2 to platform CA-AJ-1 (J4) in Mexico.

It covers an area of 121sq km, including five fields: Ku, Maloob, Zaap, Bacab, Lum and Zazil-Ha.

The scope of work includes the transportation and installation of pipelines, crossings, topside modifications and subsea works, also to cover procurement and project management.

Commencement of the works are scheduled in July 2016 and will last until March 2017.
