United States : Auriga retains contract with DWP for security assurance services

Publish Date : 22-Aug-2016

After 2 years under G-Cloud procurement rules, SME was required to retender for security assurance services at department.

Under the department's cyber security strategy, Security SME Auriga has retained a deal with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to provide security assurance services (SAS).

Auriga secured a deal under the G-Cloud framework in 2014, and had to retender, as part of the procurement conditions.

The company said the new deal will provide a "new method of implementation that will see risk, cyber risk management and accreditation services embedded within working practices."

According to Auriga, the move towards a risk managed cyber security structure will allow DWP to "focus resource and security spend where needed and will see the department move away from the more rigid approach traditionally associated with accreditation. Auriga will work collaboratively with the DWP team to implement the risk-led cyber security strategy."
