United Arab Emirates : Lamprell wins contract from Jacktel for Johan Sverdrup field development

Lamprell has secured a contract worth around $90 million from Jacktel, a wholly owned subsidiary of Master Marine.
This contract is to upgrade the mobile operating unit Haven as an accommodation service vessel for the Statoil-operated Johan Sverdrup field development.
As per the contract, the work includes procurement, construction and installation of extended legs and new suction caissons.
Lamprell will be responsible to fabricate the new leg sections and suction caissons in its Hamriyah yard in the United Arab Emirates.
Following transportation of the constructed rig components to Norway, Lamprell will be assembling and installing them on the Haven unit along with local Norwegian construction service provider, Coast Centre Base.
Completion of the works are scheduled during the second quarter of 2018.
