United Kingdom : SCC awarded Place on Crown Commercial Service Framework RM3781

Publish Date : 21-Jan-2017

SCC has secured a place on the governments leading Crown Commercial Service (CCS) RM3781 Framework for Multifunctional Devices, Managed Print and Content Services and Records and Information Management. This landmark award for SCCs managed print business presents an unrivalled growth opportunity for the provision of multifunctional devices and print management services via Lot 2 of the Framework.

The award caps a successful year of growth for SCC, with a number of key wins in local government; central government; education and the emergency services, with other framework awards for managed print under their belt, including G-Cloud-8.

SCCs MPS Public Sector Sales Director, Andrew Mappin, said of the award, I am really proud and excited to see SCC secure a place on Lot 2 of the largest Public Sector Framework for Multifunctional Devices, Managed Print and Content Services and Records and Information Management. It enables SCC customers to procure solutions that will deliver tangible savings, enable service confidence and make the concept of shared services and cost centre profitability a reality.

SCC is now one of the very few organisations in the UK that can provide a true one-stop shop for all our clients IT requirements, from desktop user to a fully secure cloud hosted solution.

Its a significant step for our public sector strategy and the seal of approval for the dedicated public sector and production print divisions we established in 2015, as our team of public sector print industry specialists efforts are now coming to fruition. This award will see a major growth in the public sector team within SCC and provide business opportunities for years to come

Saving time and money is top of mind for the CCSs 10,000+ customers, who face increasing pressure on services and uncertain funding levels. RM3781 responds to these challenges by specifying enhanced service provision to deliver cost and operational efficiencies. SCC is well positioned to deliver the value CCSs customers seek, their independent status enables them to deploy a vendor neutral strategy via Lot 2 of the RM3781 Framework, and to support multi-vendor platforms from their own accredited national service network.

As the Public sector looks to mature by leveraging adjacent IT services, SCC is one of only a few UK providers to offer a complete IT service, ranging from provision of hardware, to fully managed solutions. SCC is even able to deliver remote Cloud solutions using the Pan Government Accredited Sentinel by SCC secure cloud platform, hosted from SCCs own UK based Tier 3+ data centres.

Following the Government Spending Review, departments have been tasked to reduce spending, with the Cabinet Office promising to cut 26% of its admin spend by 2020. Lot 2 provides a managed approach over the more traditional transactional print or copy supply model, spanning managed print, print room and production print services. Its scope includes: secure, cloud based and mobile print solutions to support organisations in managing their page output and document workflows.

The four-year CCS framework takes the agreement to 2020, and enables NHS trusts; central and local government contracting authorities; schools; colleges; universities; charities and other public sector organisations across the UK to access better print and information management strategies in order to drive operational and cost efficiencies across their organisations.

CCS is a trading fund and an executive agency of the Cabinet Office. As one of the biggest public procurement organisations in Europe, they deliver commercial and procurement expertise and services to government and the wider public sector with the aim of delivering value to the nation through commercial excellence, expert advice and increased savings. SCCs experience in the public Sector allows it to stand out as a trusted partner, with a specialist team dedicated to delivering the independent advice and an enterprise-wide IT infrastructure portfolio. This has led them to deliver effective IT services for a range of Public Sector organisations, ranging across Europes foremost Government, ministerial, education and policing organisations.

Earlier this year, SCC secured places on the Crown Commercial Service G-Cloud-8 Framework. SCC is also present on a number of other framework agreements for managed print services procurement, including: National Education Procurement Agreement (NEPA); Procurement for Housing (PfH) and Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC).
