France : AFI KLM E&M and Air Mauritius Bolster Cooperation with Cabin Modification Contract

Publish Date : 23-Jun-2017

Air Mauritius and AFI KLM E&M have signed an agreement covering Part 21 cabin modifications to six Airbus aircraft in the Air Mauritius fleet: two A319, two A330-200 and two A340-300. Under the terms of the contract, AFI KLM E&M will provide the program's design, engineering, documentation, certification, supply of certain materials, and airworthiness supervision components and will provide assistance services throughout the engineering process.

Flexibility and responsiveness
Several reasons explain why AFI KLM E&M was selected in this competitive bidding process. First is the flexibility and responsiveness shown by the sales teams throughout the negotiations as they sought to align the offer as closely as possible with the requirements and expectations expressed by Air Mauritius. The two companies also have a relationship built up over multiple partnerships in all areas of aircraft maintenance.

"Historic", privileged relations
Mr Indradev Buton, Officer in Charge Air Mauritius, said he was "delighted to continue working with AFI KLM E&M, a long-standing supplier of MRO services for our airline, which has always proved to be a reliable, efficient partner over the years."

Jean-Michel Picard, AFI KLM E&M Vice President Sales, Middle East and Africa, added: "It was important for AFI KLM E&M to position itself on this contract and win it, seeing that Air Mauritius is one of our most loyal clients. We know Air Mauritius well because we work and have worked with them on all their fleet and in most aircraft maintenance activity segments. This agreement to provide Part 21 cabin modifications to six aircraft magnificently extends further this fruitful relationship."
