Egypt : AGR signs SaaS deal with Dana Gas for exploration programs offshore Egypt

Global energy services and technology firm AGR, has inked a SaaS (software as a service) deal with Dana Gas PJSC to provide the latest version of its P1 software for deepwater exploration programs offshore Egypt.
The P1 software enables users to enhance the precision of well time and cost modeling and can be applied to all drilling and well related operations, including completions and interventions.
P1 will be adopted on Dana Gas-run North El Arish (Block-6) concession area in Nile Delta with the first exploration well spud in Q4/2017 or Q1/2018.
The North El Arish concession, which is Dana Gass maiden off the coast block, is in a relatively under-explored part of the eastern Nile Delta.
Dana Gas has identified potential in several plays from Mesozoic clastics and carbonates in the shallow water to Oligo-Miocene and Pliocene turbidite plays in the deepwater. 2D and 3D seismic acquisition will be followed by the drilling of 1 exploration well during the first exploration period.
