Ranhill Holdings Bhd has announced that its indirectly-owned arm AnuRAK Water Treatment Facilities Co Ltd has won a 66 million baht (RM8.19 million) contract to modernize Amata Water Co Ltds wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Amata City Industrial Estate, Rayong, Thailand.

The company said, The new upgrading project will cover the construction of an additional module of the existing wastewater treatment plant facilities built by AnuRAK to treat increasing volume of industrial wastewater at the industrial estate. The condition of this expansion apart from the revised minimum offtake as shown above shall be in accordance with the existing concession agreement of the said WWTP.

Starting from May 2018, the building period for the project is expected to take 6 months.

The company has noted that it has four current WWTPs with capacity totalling 45.5 MLD. The upgrading works will expand its total capacity to 50.5 MLD.
