General procurement notice for Development of pastoral areas

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to improving food and nutritional security
and the living conditions of populations in the Sahel.
Specifically, it aims to:
• sustainably increase productivity and agro-sylvo-pastoral production;
• increase income from agro-silvo-pastoral and fisheries value chains; And
• strengthen the adaptive capacities of populations through better control of
climate risks and contribute to the mitigation of climate change.

The project is structured around four (04) components which are:
Component 1: Strengthening the resilience to climate change of agro-silvo-pastoral
and fisheries production:This component aims to strengthen the resilience of agrosilvo-pastoral and fisheries production through three sub-components relating to:
• Sub-component 1.1 Support for sustainable management of agropastoral areas
• Subcomponent 1.2: Development of resilient infrastructure
• Sub-component 1.3 Support for climate-smart agro-sylvo-pastoral and fish
production (includes support for access to solar energy)
Component 2: Development of agro-sylvo-pastoral and fisheries value chains:
This component aims to improve the production and productivity of the agrosilvopastoral and fisheries value chains in a sustainable manner taking into account
climate change. It concerns three sub-components which are:

• Subcomponent 2.1: Access to advisory services, financing and markets.
• Sub-Component 2.2: Improved nutrition and health and
• Sub-Component 2.3: Development and promotion of entrepreneurship.
Component 3: Support for regional institutions (CILSS, APGMV, CCRS) for
strengthening adaptive capacities in the Sahel:This component aims to improve the
production and dissemination of climate information necessary for the resilience of
agro-silvo-pastoral and fishery production. The component concerns national activities
with a regional vocation involving regional institutions (CILSS, APGMV, CCRS) and
includes three sub-components which are:
• Sub-component 3.1 Improvement of the quality of climate data
• Sub-component 3.2 Valorization and dissemination of climate information and
services
• Sub-component 3.3 Regional activities
