Lebanon Contracts

Lebanon has a free-market economy and a strong laissez-faire commercial tradition. Lebanon's relatively small economy is service-oriented, which have traditionally accounted for approximately 68 percent of the GDP. Most agricultural activity is oriented towards fast moving consumer products. Lebanon cannot meet its consumer demands and imports many of its agricultural needs. The industrial sector is also relatively small, mostly because of the small domestic market. Jewelry, cement, processed food, and beverages are among the country's chief exports.
