Nauru Contracts

Phosphate has been the basis of Nauru's economy. Revenues of this tiny island have traditionally come from exports of phosphates, but reserves are expected to be exhausted within a few years. The government is encouraging new industries, such as offshore banking and tourism, to replace the declining phosphate industry. The principal product of Nauru includes Coconuts, Fish and Phosphates.  Fishing, Phosphate Mining and Tourism are the major industries of Nauru. Its main trading partners are Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
