Bombardier CPC Propulsion System Co. Ltd. (BCP), the joint venture business of leading rail technology solutions provider Bombardier Transportation, has been successful to sign one more deal with the Chinese New United Group (NUG) to deliver MITRAC propulsion and control equipment for the Beijing Mass Transit Railway Operation Corporation.
So far this year, the joint venture has signed four contracts for the Chinese urban mass transit systems. The overall value of four contracts that the company has won in 2015 stands at about CNY 866 million (USD 136 million), of which BTs direct share is worth around CNY 193 million (USD 30 million).
Bombardier holds a stake of 50% in BCP, while the firm along with New United Group manages the operations of the joint venture entity.
The company has secured its newest deal from China for Beijing Metro Line 16.
The scope of work under this contract comprises engineering, manufacturing, as well as testing, commissioning and the preliminary supply of spare parts for traction converters.

Automakers of China, after their receipt of the new components, will set up the same on metro trains to be operated in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Tianjin in China.
