United Kingdom : Major London housing association unveils over 1bn procurement framework
Publish Date : 16-Sep-2015
A major London housing association has announced a new procurement framework with an estimated value of over 1bn. The Hyde Group unveiled the construction framework on Monday, alongside a specific 100m framework for advanced methods of construction as it looks to boost the number of homes it builds offsite.
The 50,000-home landlord's framework has 8 lots, arranged by value and location, with an estimated value of 1bn. The frameworks can be used by other housing associations and local authorities for their own procurement processes.
Business development director at Hyde Group, David Gannicott, said: "These framework agreements are a significant step forward in helping us to achieve the Groups overarching goals moving forward, and build new homes that people are proud to live in. At the same time, they also reflect Hydes ongoing commitment to exploring the use of modern methods of construction in future housing stocks. They also provide a great opportunity for us to forge closer working relationships with local authorities and other housing associations, who can come on board and take advantage of these new framework agreements."
