Seychelles economy rests on tourism and fishing. Employment, foreign earnings, construction, banking, and commerce are all largely dependent on these two industries. Other industrial activities are limited to small scale manufacturing, particularly agro-processing and import substitution. Agricultural produces includes coconuts, cinnamon, vanilla and sweet potatoes. Commodities like canned tuna, cinnamon bark, frozen fish, and petroleum products were exported to other countries, Machinery, equipment, petroleum products, chemicals, and foodstuffs, were the major commodities imported to Seychelles.
