The economy of Grenada is solely dependant on cultivation of crops like nutmeg, mace, cocoa, and bananas and tourism industry. Strong performances in construction and manufacturing, together with the development of an offshore financial industry, have also contributed to growth in national output. The industries thriving in the region are food and beverages, textiles, light assembly operations, tourism and construction. Cocoa, nutmeg, vegetables, fruits, bananas, mace, clothing are the main products of export. Fuels, machinery, food, manufactured goods, chemicals are the main products of import. The main trading partners are the United States and Trinidad and Tobago.
