Ethiopia is a country, which is richly endowed with huge manpower, arable land and natural resources. The economy of the country largely relies upon the agriculture sector. The mineral resources includes gold, platinum, marble, tantalite, copper, potash, soda-ash, zinc, nickel, iron, and natural gas. The main exports are coffee, khat, gold, leather products, live animals, and oilseeds. The leading trade partners are China, Saudi Arabia, the United States, and Italy. Ethiopia began moving from a state run economy to the market economy. The country is in the process of taking various reform measures. Progress has been made on the implementation of reforms.
