Ireland News

Ireland is a small, modern, trade-dependent economy. It is one of the fastest growing economies in the developed world. Traditionally an agriculture oriented economy, Ireland has now shifted course and is dominated by industry. Exports remain the primary engine for Ireland's robust growth, but the economy is also benefiting from a rise in consumer spending and recovery in both construction and business investment. Leading industry of Ireland includes agriculture, beverages, chemicals and fertilizers, clothing, construction, electronics and data processing, food processing, machinery, pharmaceuticals, textiles and tourism. Zinc and lead are the most important mineral resources and Ireland is one of the EU's major producers.
