India : Salem Smart City releases tender for 3 MW solar projects in the Erumapalayam area

Salem City Municipal Corporation has announced a tender for 3 MW (DC) of solar projects in the Erumapalayam area. The project falls under Salem Smart City Mission.
February 12 is the deadline for bid submission. Interested bidders are required to pay a sum of INR 1.5 million as the earnest money deposit (EMD).
As per the tender document, scope of work covers the engineering, procurement and supply, packaging and forwarding, installation and testing, and commissioning of the solar systems at the location. The comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) for the project will take place over ten years.
Additionally, the work covers the supply of solar panels, also to include module mounting structures and fasteners. The successful bidder will be responsible for the design and implementation of the project, along with the supply and erection of weather monitoring stations along with solar radiation sensors.
The bidder must have designed, supplied, and commissioned solar projects of at least 1,500 kW capacity. Also, the bidder should have executed at least 10% of the civil work of the total engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) value either for the central, state, or local bodies.
Financial eligibility criteria includes that the minimum average annual turnover of the bidder in the preceding three financial years should be at least INR 100 million. The minimum turnover in the past or current fiscal year should be at least INR 50 million.
