Slovenia : European funding for start-up innovative businesses

The Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the managing authority for the European Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund, issued a decision on support for the public tender "Incentives for Starting Innovative Enterprises in 2020 (P2 2020)", to be published by the Slovenian Enterprise Fund in short. The total amount earmarked for the call for tenders is 2.16 million, of which the European Regional Development Fund will contribute more than 1.56 million.
The purpose of the call is to develop companies and successfully transfer the development ideas of enterprising individuals and groups into market-successful businesses and to create new innovative businesses with growth potential, with an emphasis on the development and commercialization of products, processes and services.
The aim of the invitation to tender is to promote entrepreneurship, in particular by facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas and by promoting the creation of new businesses, including business incubators. The essential objectives of the invitation to tender achieved after the expiry of three years from the approval will be the successful operation of most of the supported companies and the entry of the strategic investor or venture capital investors in some of the supported companies.
