Russian Federation : The Ministry of Defense will spend 30 million rubles on luxury cars

Information on a tender by the Russian Ministry of Defense appeared on the government procurement website - until February 26, the military department will decide on the contractor for the supply of three luxury cars worth a total of 30 million rubles. The auction will be closed. The supply of luxury cars under the terms of the contract will take place before November 10, 2020. The application published on the public procurement website does not indicate additional information about the make, model and type of vehicles. It is known that cars will be equipped with diesel engines, and the source of financing will be inter-budget transfer from the budget of the subject of the Russian Federation.
The Ministry of Defense said that "These cars will be used to move the heads of foreign military delegations arriving in the Russian Federation on official visits." According to the current legislation, the Ministry of Defense cannot buy goods originating from foreign countries, so that three cars worth 30 million rubles will be of Russian production.
