Publish Date : 02-Mar-2020
Government has agreed to conclude a pre-financing and lease agreement between HZ Putnicki prijevoz doo and EUROFIMA - the European Company for Financing the Procurement of Railway Material, for the procurement of 11 electric motor trains totaling up to EUR 57.2 million.
The Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butkovic said that the procurement of new trains would create the preconditions for providing better public passenger transport services to modern trains at high European standards.
"We are awaiting a positive response from the European Commission for the procurement of 21 trains worth HRK 1.2 billion from the Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion, so that through these two procedures we will start procuring a total of 32 new trains for HZ Passenger Transport, thereby modernizing and restored the fleet, Minister Butkovic added.
At its session, the Government adopted the Decision to initiate the negotiation process for the amendment of Annex I to the Collective Agreement for Science and Higher Education and the appointment of the negotiating committee of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
Finally, the Government of Croatia sponsorship of the international scientific conference "Better Future of Healthy Ageing 2020" - BFHA 2020, which will be held in Zagreb on April 6 and 7 this year, was accepted.
