Spain : Adif will improve the air conditioning facilities of the Barcelona-Sants station

Adif has put out to tender the works execution contract for the first phase of the project for the adaptation and improvement of the air conditioning facilities of the Barcelona-Sants station, with a budget of 1,095,988.8 euros (VAT included).
The objective of this action is to offer optimal air conditioning conditions in the Barcelona terminal, guaranteeing its correct maintenance, availability and durability at all times.
For this, four cold units will be installed to replace the two heat pumps and the two existing chillers, with the same features and characteristics in terms of type and power.
The new chillers, given their characteristics, provide lower consumption as a consequence of their greater efficiency and lower maintenance cost, as they are more advanced equipment, as well as the necessary reliability to offer the station building the desirable climate conditions.
