Pakistan: TCP Awards Sugar Supply Contract

Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has awarded contract for the supply of 50,000 metric tonnes of white sugar to M/s Sadan General Trading Co of Dubai at $ 585 per tonne C&F. Six offers were received against the tender for 200,000 metric tonnes of sugar, which was opened on February 17, 2010. Sadan General Trading Company had quoted the lowest price of $585 per tonne, while the highest offer was $849 per tonne. A TCP official told here on Friday. He informed another tender for 200,000 metric tonnes of sugar would be opened on February 20, while the next one for 50,000 metric tonnes would be opened on February 22, 2010.
