Poland: Wielkopolska to Announce a Tender for New Rolling-Stock Worth PLN 0.5 Billion

The local government of Wielkopolska (Greater Poland) province should announce a tender for delivery of new EMUs. The authorities plan to allocate PLN 488m (EUR 123.8m) for this purpose. PLN 198m out of this amount will come from the province’s budget and the rest from the Regional Operational Programme of the Wielkopolskie Voivodship.
The province wants to purchase between 22 and 25 vehicles, depending on the price offered by the rolling-stock manufacturers, which will participate in the tender procedure.
