UNITED STATES : Curtiss-Wright awarded US $27.5 million contract by BAE Systems

Curtiss-Wright Corp., US based leading global defense and aerospace company, received US $27.5 million deal from BAE Systems. As per this deal, Curtiss-Wright will provide image processor subsystems for surveillance equipment, which in being developed by BAE. It will also offer rugged processor boards and an air-flow chassis.
Martin R. Benante, Chairman and CEO of Curtiss-Wright, said, \"This critical next generation surveillance system will significantly enhance the ability of U.S. combat forces to detect, locate, track and monitor events on battlefields.\"
The airborne technology is called as an autonomous real-time ground ubiquitous surveillance imaging system. It is developed to discover and track the presence and motion of thousands of small or large targets over a large area. Curtiss-Wright will produce image processor subsystems at its Ottawa and San Diego facilities.
