Publish Date : 16-Sep-2011
The US Air Force awarded Lockheed Martin an $84.3M contract to provide the first phase of the C-130J Maintenance and Aircrew Training System II program. Under the award, Lockheed Martin will deliver four weapons systems trainers for aircrew instruction and provide program management and engineering services.
The training systems comes with the latest simulation technology, as well as an electronic motion platform, an enhanced visual system and distributed mission operations networking that permits aircrews to train with remote and virtual participants.
The equipment enables aircrew and maintenance personnel to involve in extensive ground-based training before training on the aircraft. By using the immersive and realistic training systems aircrews will be able to perform real-world mission rehearsals.
