INDIA,SWITZERLAND : ABB wins US$ 15 million order from JK Paper

Swiss-Swedish engineering group ABB has secured equipment order from Indian paper manufacturer JK Paper Ltd. The deal is worth around US$15 million.
The scope of the contract includes provision of integrated automation, power equipment and also related engineering and commissioning services. Specifically, ABB will supply drive systems for the new paper machine, standalone drives and motors, and intelligent motor control centres (MCCs) also including electrical infrastructure machinery.
JK intends to expand one of its paper mills and the entire expansion project is expected to cost around USD 400 million. The mill will be made operational during the fourth quarter of 2012.
