UNITED STATES : ViaSat secured $27 million deal for Multifunctional Information Distribution System

ViaSat is in receipt of a order for Multifunctional Information Distribution System - Low Volume Terminals from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, MIDS Program Office in San Diego, California. The order is worth around $27.6M.
Deliveries of the Lot 12 MIDS-LVT units would start in July 2012 and it is expected to to go on upto March 2013.
MIDS-LVT terminals deals in provision of greater situational awareness in combat for U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, and for partners of U.S. defense by collecting information into a digital view of the war area.
