UNITED STATES : BAE received $18.38 million modification deal

BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair Inc. received $18.38 million modification deal to earlier awarded deal, to complete post-shakedown availability (PSA) for DDG 51-class guided-missile destroyers USS William P. Lawrence (DDG 110) and USS Spruance (DDG 111).
As per the deal BAE Systems will be responsible for services and material for PSA. It will offer engineering and management support, labour and procurement of material to correct government responsible deficiencies and achieve system upgrades, and performance of specific PSA work items inclusive of tests and post repair sea trials.
BAE Systems will carry out the work on this project in San Diego. The work is likely to be finished by September 2012.
