UNITED STATES : Marinette Marine receives $23.9M Coast Guard order

Marinette Marine Corp. (MMC), US based shipbuilding company and a subsidiary of Manitowoc Marine, obtained $23.9 million deal for 11 US Coast Guard vessels.
This deal comes under a multiyear $600 million Coast Guard deal for the building and delivery of about 250 of vessels. Until now, Coast Guard has placed orders for 126 boats.
Shipbuilder Marinette Marine is key contractor and program manager for this deal. At present, Shipbuilder Marinette is planning to build half of the work from this latest deal at its facility in Green Bay. The remaining work will be carried out at Kent facility of its partner - Kvichak Marine Industries. The delivery of these vessels is expected in the first quarter of 2013.
