UNITED STATES : Ingalls Awarded $697.6 Million U.S. Navy Construction Contract

Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc., received $697.6 million deal from US Navy.
As per this deal, Ingalls Shipbuilding will offer Arleigh Burke-class destroyer to US Navy.
With this, Ingalls Shipbuilding will develop 30th Aegis guided missile destroyer for US Navy.
According to Bill Glenn, Spokesman of Ingalls Shipbuilding, the company has obtained fourth major order in 2011. The new order will stabilize employee base at Pascagoula.
Bob Merchent, VP of surface combatants and US Coast Guard program at Ingalls Shipbuilding, said, \"This is an exciting opportunity for us to continue our outstanding quality of work in building DDG 51s.\"
