CANADA : Flint gets C$430 deal for oil sands project

Canadian player Flint Energy Services has signed a C$430 million ($419.8 million) deal to build two major silos at a steam-assisted gravity drainage oil sands project in the Wood Buffalo region near Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Work on the silos will begin in the first quarter of next year and will continue until mid-2014.
The project is located in the Wood Buffalo region near Fort McMurray, Alberta and is expected to hire above 1500 people at its peak.

Bill Lingard, Chief Executive said, “The contract brings Flint\'s backlog of facility-infrastructure work to C$740 million. We also have bids in play with other customers and we expect to win additional contract work later this year and in early 2012.”
