IRELAND,UNITED STATES : Embraer receives $256.8 million order from GE Aviation Services

Aircraft manufacturer Embraer has received an order for six 190 Jets from GE Capital Aviation Services.
The order worth $256.8 million also has an option for another six aircraft. The deal may reach $500 million if GECAS exercises the option.Embraer is scheduled to start delivering the aircraft late next year.
Paulo Cesar de Souza e Silva, president of Embraer’s Commercial Aviation division said, “It’s very gratifying for us to see GECAS further increasing its E-Jets portfolio. GECAS is a long-standing Embraer customer and partner, and has been playing an important role in the expansion of the E-Jets customer base through its extensive global network.”
GECAS, which is based in the U.S. and Ireland, has a fleet of more than 1,750 owned and managed aircraft in service with approximately 245 airlines in 75 countries.
