QinetiQ Australia has received a two year contract extension, as provided for within the current contract, from the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to provide Aircraft Structural Integrity (ASI) services.
Since 2006, QinetiQ has provided expert ASI support and advice to the ADF's aviation technical airworthiness regulator, the Directorate General Technical Airworthiness (DGTA-ADF).
Alan Woolford, CEO of QinetiQ Australia, said, by working in Partnership with DGTA-ADF, QinetiQ has been able to adapt its engineering offering to meet the ADF's evolving requirements.
"Our ability to produce relevant, timely and high-quality engineering outcomes has directly benefitted airworthiness across the ADF," Mr Woolford said.
The extended contract also gives the ADF an enhanced ability to engage QinetiQ on ADF bases and within the Defence Science and Technology Organisation.
The updated contract is effective until November 2016, and further cements QinetiQ's reputation as a leading provider of structural integrity services in the defence and rail industries.
QinetiQ forms "Partnerships with a capital P" based on trust. Its Partnership with DGTA-ADF is built on the expertise and commitment of its people, who know-how to help the ADF deliver safe and effective aviation capability.
