In Finland, Nordex has signed supply and maintenance contracts for a 27MW wind farm with specialist investor Impax Asset Management.

The Joukhaisselka project in Finland would feature nine N117/3000 turbines from the Delta series, which are designed for locations with medium wind speeds.

As per the deal, in 2014, Nordex will instal the turbines at the Joukhaisselka wind farm in Lapland near the town of Sodankyla.

Citing the cold weather conditions, Impax would also fit the turbines with the Nordex anti-icing system, that prevents ice from forming on the rotor blades.

Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, a member of Nordex's management board, said, "The Finnish market offers our customers attractive opportunities for investing in the production of clean electricity. We are very pleased to see that more and more investors are entering this market and relying on our extensive experience in this region."
