Publish Date : 08-Feb-2014

Taaleritehdas, Finland-based investment company, has awarded a contract to Nordex SE to supply and service 19 units of 2.4MW wind turbines for the Myllykangas wind farm in north-western Finland.

Nordex will be responsible to supply N117/2400 turbines with a hub height of 120m for the 45.6MW Myllykangas project in the Li region. Delivery are scheduled to begin in 2014 and the commissioning is expected during 2015. The deal comes as a part of a framework agreement signed in 2012 as per which Nordex will deliver up to 111 wind turbines.

Together with the Nyby-Li wind park, the Myllykangas wind farm will form a single cluster. At the park, Nordex is carrying out installation of eight wind turbines.

Nordex management board member Lars Bondo Krogsgaard stated that, "We are pleased to see that our business in Finland continues to develop well and that Taaleritehdas chooses Nordex again."

Taaleritehdas wind energy operations director Taamir Fareed stated, "We are very pleased to continue our good co-operation with Nordex now in Myllykangas. We have very good experience of Nordex N117 turbines from our Honkajoki site and therefore feel confident in continuing to install Nordex turbines in our next development site in Myllykangas, Ii."
