Publish Date : 19-May-2014

Titan Airways, London Stansted-headquartered charter and airline sub-charter specialist, announced it won many new tour operator ski flight contracts for winter 2014/15.

The new contracts represent an increase from five to eight flights a week, including a brand new route for the carrier to Turin from London Gatwick. The inaugural Turin service - contracted by specialist tour operators, Esprit Ski and Inghams - will run weekly from mid December 2014 to mid April 2015 on Titan Airways’ Airbus A320-233.

The aircraft, is being modified to accommodate a higher density 180 seat configuration for its new role and it will be running thrice weekly between Chambery and London Gatwick in the French Alps for the period.

Titan Airways won contracts for a further four Chambery flights on one of their Boeing 757-200 aircraft, three originating in Stantsed and one in Birmingham.

The supplementary Chambery flights signify a raise in capacity for Titan Airways’ long standing customers Crystal Ski Holidays, Ski Total, and Esprit Ski and include a new flight series on behalf of all-inclusive luxury hoteliers, Club Med.

Alastair Kiernan, Titan Airways’ Commercial Director said, “We are thrilled by the trust and loyalty shown by our ski tour operator partners, who play such a key role in our winter business. The new programme gives us a solid base for the winter, with the capacity for complementary charter and sub-charter operations, including departures direct from Gatwick with the Airbus.”
