Singapore - Temasek launches global bond sale to raise US$500m

Investment company Temasek Holdings is raising US$500 million through another bond sale.
The 30-year notes carry a coupon rate of 5.375 per cent and will be issued by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Temasek Financial.
The bonds, which will mature in 2039, are priced at 99.029 to yield 5.441 per cent, equivalent to a spread of 115 basis points over comparative 30-year US Treasuries.
They are given triple A ratings by Moody\'s as well as Standard & Poor\'s and are issued under Temasek\'s US$5 billion global medium-term programme.
Net proceeds from the offering will be used to fund Temasek and its subsidiaries\' ordinary course of business.
It is the second time this year that Temasek has turned to the international bond market after raising US$1.5 billion last month.
